CAB BRACE®

tilt safety brace

How It Works

CAB BRACE® Can be Installed in LESS THAN 2 MINUTES in 3 simple steps!

STEP ONE: With the truck cab tilted in the open position, place CAB BRACE® on the truck frame member, with clamping mechanism beneath flange.

STEP TWO: Adjust height and angle to appropriate positions and move toward cab frame in order to wedge CAB BRACE™ between truck frame and open cab frame.

STEP THREE: Using a ratchet, tighten the two bolts in order to secure the clamping mechanism to the truck frame.

When you’re maintaining cab over engine trucks or fire apparatus, a tilt safety brace isn’t optional safety equipment. It’s the difference between controlled maintenance and preventable accidents. The compact design won’t crowd your workspace, yet it delivers the brace strength needed for peace of mind under any tilt angle.

  • A tilt safety brace supports a raised truck cab during maintenance or inspection.
  • It prevents accidental collapse or movement of the cab.
  • Protects technicians and drivers from serious injuries.
  • Reduces wear on hydraulic or lifting systems.
  • Essential for maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.

How a Tilt Safety Brace Protects You During Maintenance

Working beneath a tilted cab introduces a recognized crush hazard during maintenance. The Cab Brace® is a secondary mechanical support designed to help secure a raised tilt cab during vehicle maintenance and inspection. Used on cab-over-engine (COE) trucks, fire apparatus, and other tilt cab vehicles, the Cab Brace® provides a physical, load-bearing support that reduces reliance on hydraulic systems alone. If the hydraulic system experiences pressure loss, component wear, or unintended movement, a secondary support, such as specialized cab braces for trucks, helps manage the risk.

Once positioned, a tilt safety brace offers a visible, verifiable means of support for technicians working beneath a raised cab as part of safer maintenance practices. For maintenance on cab-over-engine trucks, fire apparatus, and other components, the Cab Brace®, with its compact design, allows technicians access to work areas while adding a reliable control during under-cab service in ways other cab braces for trucks don’t.
