CAB BRACE®

tilt safety brace

How It Works

CAB BRACE® Can be Installed in LESS THAN 2 MINUTES in 3 simple steps!

STEP ONE: With the truck cab tilted in the open position, place CAB BRACE® on the truck frame member, with clamping mechanism beneath flange.

STEP TWO: Adjust height and angle to appropriate positions and move toward cab frame in order to wedge CAB BRACE™ between truck frame and open cab frame.

STEP THREE: Using a ratchet, tighten the two bolts in order to secure the clamping mechanism to the truck frame.

When you’re maintaining cab over engine trucks or fire apparatus, a tilt safety brace isn’t optional safety equipment. It’s the difference between controlled maintenance and preventable accidents. The compact design won’t crowd your workspace, yet it delivers the brace strength needed for peace of mind under any tilt angle.

  • A tilt safety brace supports a raised truck cab during maintenance or inspection.
  • It prevents accidental collapse or movement of the cab.
  • Protects technicians and drivers from serious injuries.
  • Reduces wear on hydraulic or lifting systems.
  • Essential for maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.

How a Tilt Safety Brace Protects You During Maintenance

Working beneath a tilted cab shouldn’t carry unnecessary risks. That’s where a proper tilt safety brace makes all the difference. Unlike makeshift props or aging hydraulic systems that can fail without warning, this emergency vehicle cab brace locks into position through mechanical force you can verify before crawling under. Three key benefits stand out:

  • Eliminates reliance on hydraulics alone
  • Installs faster than rigging chains
  • Provides visible confirmation of secure positioning

The safety advantage becomes obvious when you consider what happens if a tilt mechanism fails. Similar to how truck bed braces secure raised dump bodies, our brace wedges firmly between frames to create a secondary support system.
